Charles “Chico” Rouse

Chico’s House of Jazz is Rouse Jr’s way of paying homage and carrying on the legacy of his father, the great Charles Rouse. Who is best known for his years of work as a tenor sax player alongside the widely admired Thelonious Monk, has, and continues to influence millions of people around the world.

This club will not only honor Chico’s father, but Chico is also looking to bring back the rich and unique world of Jazz that has seemingly taken a back seat to other music genres for the past few decades.

Charles “Chico” Rouse has the most important skill you can possess in the entertainment and music industry, experience. He has twenty-five years as a producer and promoter for everyone from B.B King, to 50 Cent, and betters his community by producing local events such as the ones held in Asbury Park, Long Branch, and Red Bank.

With Chico handling the The House of Jazz’s music bookings, he will surely be blessing the area with some of the best music that has been played or performed here in years.


Maria D’Onofrio

Bringing a true passion for music and art along with a strong background in business, Maria has worked hard to get to the position she is today. She has brought a breath of fresh air to the group, providing advice and insight, such as non- alcoholic drinks, smoothies and the use of organic products; which clearly shows her presence is undeniably going to give the club its own unique touch.

Also, Maria possess a strong passion for preservation, and has great respect for the earth, due to this Chico’s House of Jazz will be ran as a green business as possible.

D’Onofrio is also a certified Yoga instructor, has a degree is elementary early childhood education, and was a gemologist in Manhattan for years. She has the dedication, intelligence, and uniqueness to run and improve any business, especially one that brings out her best characteristics.
